Research Misconduct Policy

Jurnal Ibriez: Jurnal Kependidikan Dasar Islam Berbasis Sains is committed to research integrity and takes allegations of research or publication misconduct seriously, whether they arise before or after publication.

Research and publication misconduct may include plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate or redundant publication, inappropriate authorship, citation manipulation, undisclosed competing interests, breaches of research ethics, and the misrepresentation of research methods or findings.

Anyone who raises a concern should provide sufficient information to enable the editorial team to assess the allegation. The journal will evaluate concerns fairly, confidentially, and objectively, regardless of whether they are raised by authors, reviewers, readers, or other parties.

When a concern is credible, the editor may request an explanation, relevant documentation, original data, or other supporting evidence from the authors. The journal may also consult independent experts or contact the relevant research institution or other appropriate body when necessary.

All parties will be given a reasonable opportunity to respond where appropriate. Editorial action will be proportionate to the seriousness of the concern and the evidence available.

Possible outcomes include requesting clarification, requiring corrections, rejecting a manuscript, issuing a correction or retraction, or referring the matter to the relevant institution. The journal will follow applicable ethical guidance and appropriately document significant decisions.
